Jo Smoak is an avid crafter, author, and animal lover. She enjoys the outdoors, watching and crafting sunsets, being with her dogs, and spending time with children.
Jo has had many challenges in her life that she has not let hold her back. She has a magna cum laude Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in South Carolina.
She knows what it’s like to feel hopeless, lonely, and beat down by the many hard things in this world but aims to offer hope through her books, arts, and crafts.
Every craft, piece of art, or book Jo works on has many stages. Each piece offers a place of healing to her. It usually begins with an idea. Jo will then pick the media that she wants to use whether it is paint on a canvas, layered paper, wood, words on a page, etc. Some pieces take time especially large ones. Other creations are quick and less involved.
Jo enjoys seeing others’ joy over what she has created for them whether it was a piece they purchased or a gift. Jo would enjoy hearing from you about the joy or impact her creations or books have had on you.
